There were three strings and they were assigned to go and attempt to get a drink from a bar. So the first 1st string went and come to no avail. The second one had the same outcome. Whereas the third one decided to pull out his ends and walked in the bar and asked for a drink. The Barman said, "I'm sorry but we don't serve punks."

"Are you a punk?" And the string in turn politely replied, "No, I'm a frayed knot."
